What if they grind off the I.D. markings ?
Dealers are very reluctant to buy goods that are presented in such a condition, and on suspicion would ask for further ID. They would hold onto the tool until some other form of positive ID is produced. This generally unnerves people who are acting dishonestly and they would run leaving whatever ID they had shown, rather than risk being held and questioned by the Police.
What if I sell a particular tool ?
Generally, trades people don't sell their equipment. But if you should, all that we ask is. That you log in to your account and either mark the status of the tool as "SOLD" or delete the details of that particular tool from the database.
