  • How To Pay

Firstly, AUST. POWERTOOL REGISTER™® can't guarantee that your power tools will not be stolen. But by having your equipment registered with AUST. POWERTOOL REGISTER™® we are in the position to be able to notify the likely buyers of your stolen equipment whether they be Cash Convertors, Pawn Shops and Second Hand Tool Dealers, etc. These parties have limited access to our register and can query ownership of a tool presented with your Unique I.D. Number. This works on the basis of you registering your power tools/equipment with AUST. POWERTOOL REGISTER™® by simply filling out the online registration form and by paying the initial fee ($45.00 for the first year, then $25.00 per year thereafter), we will maintain your details on our database. (Prices are inclusive of GST & subject to any annual CPI increases). See our "HOME" page for current fee's.

The only requirement is that you either engrave or stamp your equipment, in several locations, with a Unique I.D Number, which is your Drivers Licence number, with a letter denoting your state (eg N-12345. The letter "N" denotes that the state the items were registered in NSW, V-12345 for Victoria, etc.) You will also be required to provide a passport size photo of yourself downloaded to your application form.

Then if your vehicle or workshop should happen to be targeted by thieves and your power tools are stolen..... Call AUST. POWERTOOL REGISTER™® first and then call the NSW Police Assistance Line 13 1444.( For Police Assistance in other states refer to your Local Phone Directory).

A thief will try to take your tools to a second-hand dealer to sell. The dealer asks them for some form of ID (Credit Card, Drivers Licence, etc). The thief can produce one or the other. But to no avail. As nothing he can produce will identify him as the owner of your tools.
